The concept of the expandable form gives a great deal of versatility in any flute choir situation. These arrangements all work successfully with a quartet playing the top four parts using  either four “C” flutes or a piccolo and three "C" flutes depending on the publication. As instruments are added they expand harmonic support, reinforce a line of another part or introduce new counter melodies. The integrity of the arrangement is never compromised. It is only enhanced.
