A light original composition that is meant to portray the happiness and a quality of life in the USA. This work has intergenerational appeal with cheerful and lively melodies as well as pleasing harmonies. There are memorable melodic lines, chords and short rhythms reminiscent of a western hoedown. A confident strong piccolo player is needed since there are many exposed lines throughout the composition. This work is well suited for use in concert programming as well as a toe-tapping encore.
