Ricky’s original “expandable form” flute choir arrangements offer an experience unlike any other. Traditionally, only the first chair part gets the spotlight, with the other parts often less engaging. But with Ricky’s approach, every part is crafted to be interesting and enjoyable, ensuring that every musician, regardless of chair, feels excited to play their role.

These arrangements sound complete with just a piccolo and three “C” flutes - or four “C” flutes as a quartet depending on the publication- but really shine as more instruments join, adding layers of harmony and lively counter melodies. Some pieces even feature optional bass and drum parts to further elevate the experience. With “C” substitute parts for transposing instruments, Ricky’s expandable arrangements bring both flexibility and a rewarding experience for every musician in the ensemble.
